Armando Bonato

Italian Armando Bonato's first work appeared in the magazines Il Nuovo Sceriffo and Albi dell' Intrepido in the late 1940's.

Via the D'Ami agency in Milan he produced for the British market: Kit Carson (1956) for Cowboy Picture Library, Mustang Grey, Jim Bridger and Buffalo Bill for Pearson's Western Picture Comics, Battler Britton and Spy 13 in Thriller Picture Library (Nbrs. 325 and 432 respectively), as well as stories for Air Ace Picture Library. The stories that appeared as part of the Western Picture Comics were in fact being re-used, as they had originally appeared in France for comics released by both the publishers Dardo and Nerbini.

Bonato ceased working in comics in the early eighties.
