Synopsis:
Halle Berry, doing her utmost to persuade the Academy to take back
her Oscar, plays Patience, a flighty would-be artist who is bumped
off after she uncovers the nefarious corporate secrets of a cosmetics
company. Brought to life by feline mouth-to-mouth, she acquires
interesting cat powers and cat behaviors, and begins eating tuna
straight out of the can, stealing jewels and carrying a whip. Benjamin
Bratt is the upright, studly cop who serves as her obligatory love
interest, and Sharon Stone is her icy rival. There is a diverting
element of campy, kinky sexuality in this mess, and lots of bright
colors and stroboscopic editing effects. In the end, though, you
might find yourself thinking back fondly on "Garfield."
