Tower Press TV Puzzle Page

For approximately a decade (mid-1950s to mid-1960s) Tower Press released dozens of jigsaw puzzles based on popular British and American television series'. Appropriately enough they seem to have started with early British Watch with Mother subjects such as The Flowerpot Men and Sooty, and gradually expanded into more popular childrens, and later, adult TV series' - the last that I can trace being the British comedy Steptoe & Son. All the jigsaws here are cardboard unless otherwise stated.

Most of these puzzles are under 400 pieces and are generally overlooked by enthusiasts for that reason - they lack the challenge that puzzlers crave. Here follows a listing of the Tower Press jigsaws based on UK & US television series' that I know of - for convenience the links on this page go to the appropriate Wikipedia page for the show concerned..

If anyone can help out with missing scans or more information it would be most appreciated.
